2006年にベルギー人キュレーターであるキャサリン・デ・ゼガー（Catherine de Zegher）が「マリアン・グッドマン・ギャラリー（Marian Goodman Gallery）」でキュレーションした同タイトルの展覧会に伴い刊行された一冊。本展は、線が紙の表面から離れ、空間へと飛び出していく流れを出発点と捉え、1960年代後半から1970年代前半に活動をしたアーティストによる紙を用いずワイヤーや糸などで描いたドローイング（ジェゴ（Gego）の作品タイトルのように）の数々が並列された。ジェゴ（Gego）、、カレル・マリフ（Karel Malich）、、、モニカ・グルツィマラ（Monika Grzymala）、ランジャニ・シェター（Ranjani Shettar）、ジョエル・トゥーリンクス（Joelle Tuerlinckx）らが参加。

This publication accompanied the show of the same name exhibited at Marian Goodman Gallery in 2006 and curated by Catherine de Zegher. The exhibition considered the departure of the line from the paper surface and its venture into space, and juxtaposed drawings made without paper (as Gego titled them) and instead with wire and thread by artists in the late sixties and early seventies with contemporary drawings. Artists included in the exhibition were Gego, Eva Hesse, Karel Malich, Richard Tuttle, Julie Mehretu, Monika Grzymala, Ranjani Shettar, and Joelle Tuerlinckx.
