アメリカ人アーティスト、ロニ・ホーン（Roni Horn）の作品集。1970年代初頭から一貫してアイスランドを訪れて、そこで経験した多くの孤独で変革的な体験が、「Island: To Place」シリーズの書籍に記録されている。現在10タイトルで構成されている本シリーズは、レンズを通してアイスランドを見て、写真と文章を融合させている。本書は、黄色のクロス装ボックスにまとめられた2部構成。アイスランドの自然変異の生じた間欠泉の写真を編集している。

American artist Roni Horn has been traveling consistently to Iceland since the early 1970s. The many solitary and transformative experiences that the artist has had in the country are recorded in her series of books, To Place. The series, which currently consists of ten titles, merges photography and experimental writing in an effort to examine Iceland through an artistic lens. This issue, Becoming a Landscape, comes in two parts held together in a cloth box. Horn compiles photographs of natural variations on Icelandic geysers, with some bearing yonic resemblances and others appearing like gaping wounds. Punctuating these images are close-up shots of Ulfur, a young boy to whom the artist dedicated this edition.
