ニューヨークを拠点に活動するロシア人アーティスト、サーニャ・カンタロフスキー（Sanya Kantarovsky）の作品集。その活動は、時に映像作品と組み合わされるペインティング作品もあれば、アニメーション、彫刻、デザイン、展覧会企画など多岐にわたり、日本での展覧会も数える。本書では、2016年から2025年にかけて、過去9年間に制作された60点の「顔」の絵画作品に焦点を当て考察する。用いた素材は木炭、油彩、パステル、ピグメント（顔料）、水彩、脱色剤など様々であり、そのほとんどが16x12インチ（約406x305mm）、もしくは20x16インチ（508x406mm）のリネンキャンバスに描かれている。アーティストであるブラッドリー・クロンツ（Bradley Kronz）がテキストを寄せる。
