Chicxulub is a new book by the Swedish artist and photographer Mårten Lange. The work is a series of photographs made around the Chicxulub crater in Mexico, where an asteroid struck 66 million years ago, causing the extinction of the dinosaurs. Combining photographs of animals and the landscape with Mayan ruins and failed resort hotel developments, the book is a story about destruction, evolution, and the desire to make contact with a lost world.
